A book "Il Senso dell'Italia"

In occasion of the presentation of Francesco Morace’s book “Il Senso dell’Italia” on March the 4th 2008 at the Triennale of Milan, we met with other friends and for the first time discussed publicly our ideas.
During the meeting we discussed “made in Italy”s necessity of looking beyond luxury towards a new cultural and production platform for our country.

The theme of Renaissance and it’s possible contemporary declinations arose multiple times, together with the awareness of the central role that Italian design could play in the challenge for global innovation. We all decided to take on this challenge and take a pledge with ourselves and the audience, who would eventually become the pool of our first members.

After multiple other meetings a brave thought was born: we wanted to connect the difficult Italian situation to the concept of a new Renaissance and started drafting a programmatic thought to be discussed and refined in following gatherings.
Each one of us called upon other friends who we felt apt for the venture and so formed the group of the founding members.
